Ponti Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP 500ml
Ponti Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP 500ml
Fragrant grape notes, rounded sweetness and a lively tang
Ponti Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP combines wine vinegar with concentrated and cooked grape must, bringing together fruity grape notes, rounded sweetness and a bright, tangy finish. The sweetness softens the vinegar’s acidity, giving it a balanced flavour that works equally well in dressings and warm dishes.
Made in Vignola, in the Modena area of Emilia-Romagna, it belongs to one of Italy’s best-known food traditions. The IGP designation identifies balsamic vinegar produced within the protected geographical area of Modena and Reggio Emilia, following its production requirements.
For everyday use, whisk with extra virgin olive oil and a little salt to dress tomatoes, mixed salads or beans. Drizzle over roasted peppers, courgettes and aubergines, or add to a marinade for red meat. Its sweet-and-sour character also complements an omelette or a plate of mature cheese.
For something sweeter, try a few drops over ripe strawberries or vanilla ice cream. Add gradually: a small splash brings a lively contrast while allowing the other flavours to come through.

About Ponti
Ponti’s vinegar-making history began in 1787 and spans nine generations of the same family. Based in Ghemme, Piedmont, the company also produces balsamic vinegar in Vignola, in the Modena area, combining wine vinegar with grape must through a slow acetification process. Its range reflects a long Italian tradition of using vinegar to bring brightness, balance and flavour to everyday food.
