Prunotto Organic Red Pesto, Pesto Rosso 130g
Prunotto Organic Red Pesto, Pesto Rosso 130g
Fresh and dried tomatoes with a rich, savoury depth
Prunotto Pesto Rosso layers the bright flavour of fresh Italian tomatoes with the concentrated sweetness of dried tomatoes. Together they make up almost half the recipe, creating a rich tomato character rounded out by cashews, pine nuts, basil and garlic.
The combination gives this organic pesto its particular appeal: dried tomatoes bring intensity, fresh tomatoes add balance, and the nuts lend a smooth, rounded texture. Basil and garlic carry through the richness, leaving a lingering savoury finish.
Vegan and plant-based, it is delicious tossed through fusilli or casarecce, allowing the pesto to settle into their twists and curves. Spread over crostini, spoon into roasted peppers or stir through cannellini beans for a generous antipasto to share with crusty bread.
