Prunotto Organic Vegetable Tomato Sauce, Sugo all’Ortolana 340g
Prunotto Organic Vegetable Tomato Sauce, Sugo all’Ortolana 340g
Slow-cooked tomatoes and garden vegetables, full of gentle sweetness
Prunotto Sugo all’Ortolana brings together Italian tomatoes, carrots, onions and celery, finished with basil. Slow cooking draws out the vegetables’ natural sweetness, creating a mellow, savoury sauce with the comforting flavour of Italian home cooking.
Its appeal lies in the care given to a simple recipe. Fresh tomatoes are processed within hours of harvest, while the short ingredient list gives the vegetables room to shine. Tomato, aromatic vegetables, basil and salt come together without added sugar, oil or tomato concentrate.
Vegan and plant-based, it is delicious folded through rigatoni or tagliatelle with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Spoon over grilled aubergine, layer into a vegetable bake or serve with soft polenta, letting the sweet tomato and basil bring everything together.

About Prunotto
Mariangela Prunotto is a family farming business in Alba, in Piedmont’s Langhe countryside. Generations of growing fruit and vegetables lie behind its sweet and savoury preserves, developed by Mariangela and her sons Roberto and Marco.
Organic farming, careful preparation and processing fresh produce within hours of harvest help capture the flavour of the seasons. From fragrant pestos to rich tomato sauces, Prunotto brings the warmth and generosity of an Italian family kitchen to the table.
