Bauli Il Panettone Classico
With Raisins and Candied Fruits 1kg
With glacé fruit, raisins, the sweet aroma of vanilla, with a soft and delicately moist bread makes for a delightful traditional Italian Panettone bread for a magical Christmas.
One of the most popular legends for Panettone goes back to 1495. During a luxurious Christmas banquet for the Duke of Milan, the head chef burnt the dessert. A young cook, called Toni, stepped up and created a rich brioche bread from his own sourdough starter, he was saving for his own Christmas dinner. He filled it with raisins and candied fruit. The Duke loved it, and it became known as “Pane di Toni”, a tradition which is now loved throughout Italy.
Perfect as a Christmas treat or as a gift for friends and family.
