Falcone Cantucci Integrali are a wonderfully rustic take on the classic Italian cantucci biscuit. Made with 35% stone-ground whole wheat flour, almonds and toasted chopped hazelnuts, they have a firm, satisfying crunch with a warm, nutty flavour. Cane sugar, honey and Falcone’s double-malt recipe add gentle sweetness and a deeper toasted character without taking away from the wholesome whole wheat taste.

These cantucci have a distinctly Abruzzese identity. The story on the packet looks back to the early 1900s and the rural traditions of Abruzzo, when almond biscuits were enjoyed during celebrations and dipped into local sweet wine. It gives these biscuits a lovely connection to the traditional food culture of the region rather than simply being another Italian biscuit.

They are particularly good alongside espresso, cappuccino or tea, where their crisp texture makes them perfect for dunking. For an after-dinner treat, Falcone also suggests pairing them with dessert wines such as Passito, Moscato or Port.
