Pandoro comes from the Italian phrase "pan d'oro" meaning "golden bread". This name reflects the cake's rich, golden colour due to the bread being enriched with eggs, butter, and sugar.

About Bauli:
In 1922, pastry chef Ruggero Bauli opened a small pastry shop in Verona Italy. He quickly gained a reputation for his delicious pastries. Growing over the years, he opened a factory in the 1950s and made his products available throughout Italy. In the 1960s, he exported across Europe and North America.
